Born in Galveston, Texas, Alex McLeod graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in speech Communications. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has performed in situation comedies (Married With Children, Nightstand, Partners, Ned and Stacy), national commercials, as well as hosting a variety of reality programs. Before joining the TLC family, Alex co-hosted the irreverent and popular Moviewatch series for Channel Four in the United Kingdom. Based in Hollywood, she was British TV personality Johnny Vaughn's self-effacing sidekick, engaging in mock interviews with Hollywood's mega-elite as well as writing and performing comic sketches satirizing Hollywood. She also contributed her outrageous improvisational sketch created for the Internet's IZ.com.
